The Heart Behind The Portraits

Hi, I’m Angela — the artist behind Wild Lilli. Like many of you, I’ve loved, lost, and grieved the animals who shaped my world. I’ve felt the heartbreak of not getting to say goodbye. And I’ve also felt the deep joy of remembering them as they were — loyal, playful, gentle, full of life.

Animals have always had a hold on my heart. As a child, I cried through every wildlife documentary and couldn’t bear to watch movies where animals were lost or left behind. Our family pets — cats, dogs, birds, even fish — weren’t just companions, they were woven into the fabric of our lives. One cat in particular, Snudge, left home and never returned. I still think of him. Still hope he found peace. Still miss him.

I know what it’s like to grieve a pet. I also know how healing it can be to celebrate them — not with sadness, but with beauty, colour, and joy. That’s why I created Wild Lilli. Each portrait is crafted with vibrant, expressive art that honours the love you shared. They’re designed to last a lifetime, just like the memories.
